Keynote Speaker: Nancy Clements, MA, CCC-SLP
Nancy Clements is a Speech and Language Pathologist with over 30 years of experience. She became highly interested in Social Thinking in 2000, when she founded Camp Compass, a unique summer experience for individuals with social communication challenges. Nancy was the former Program Manager of the Social Thinking® and Communication Services program at the Stern Center for Language and Learning in Williston, Vermont. While serving in that role, she developed a comprehensive Social Thinking program which served over 60 children weekly. As the Director of Michelle Garcia Winner’s East Coast Clinical Training Program (Level 1A) and as a member of the Social Thinking® Training and Speakers Collaborative, Nancy is dedicated to delivering high quality training to professionals in schools and clinical settings. |
Brendan Mahan, MEd., MS, is an ADHD/Executive Function consultant/coach, as well as a veteran educator. He helps people affected by ADHD redesign their lives in order to lessen the impact of the disorder.
A contributing author to 365+1 Way to Succeed with ADHD and highly engaging speaker, Brendan addresses the emotional, academic and lifestyle impacts the disorder has on the lives of the people who have it, as well as those who love them. In his talks, he shares multiple intervention styles, both broad and specific. His interventions are highly accessible and useful across the areas of people’s lives with little to no modification. When meeting individually with clients, Brendan is both caring and understanding of the difficulties faced by those who suffer from ADHD, as well as those impact it has on those who love them. His insights into the role ADHD plays in the lives of his clients, as well as his strategies for limiting the impact of the disorder, have benefited people from Massachusetts to California. |
