Description: The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) provide the framework for the knowledge and skills students in grades K-12 need to attain to become competitive in a global workforce/society. Related service providers will need to learn how they fit into the implementation of the CCSS so that their students can reach their fullest potential. This presentation will introduce the standards and explore the role of related service providers. Participants will learn/practice writing Individual Education Program (IEP) goals that relate to the standards. Using the standards to develop therapy activities will also be discussed.
